I agree and Bjork has a good chance of succeeding with quality players. I love his speed and tenacity and once he pots a couple goals he is a guy that could seriously break through. These injuries to the D and now #37 are tough to take but it certainly has created opportunities for others. |

I love Krejci and what he has done with the Bruins and I am generally very pro Bruins but if you think Krejcis game hasn't dissolved over the years. I am not sure what you guys are watching.
He is good in open space with the puck or with speed in the neutral zone but is pushed off the puck easy. His cycle game is gone. His finish is almost non-existent. He is a decent 2nd center and a calming presence but he is a very big reason as to why this team has sputtered. They have the best line in hockey. That every team tries to shut down. He hasn't been able to provide the spark for the 2nd line.
He just isn't the same any more.
If you are pro-Krejci. You are just looking at the numbers to start the season.

I just can’t disagree enough lol. He is not elite, he’s not Marchy Bergy or Pasta. He can’t make a line work by himself anymore. But he’s better than the average 2C (such as Turris or Stastny) Give him a RW and he’ll put up 70pts this year. Don’t forget he’s not getting any of these points on that lethal PP1 (which he would fit in great on, just not enough room). He wins faceoffs, he adds leadership, he can play any situation. I know he’s slow and boring and not what he once was but he’s efficient |

Good article solid info:
"Krejci is the Bruins’ highest-paid forward. While no one can ever hold that against him, because at the time he signed his $7.25 million extension he was the Bruins’ No. 1 center, he may not have it in him to be the No. 1 now. He has 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) in 20 games this season, with just one goal and five assists coming at 5-on-5 despite being the Bruins’ most-protected center in terms of offensive zone starts (60.13 percent of his starts have come in the offensive zone). His 53.35 CF%, however, suggest he’s been keeping the Bruins on the attack for his production to tick upward."

Tough loss. They can't withstand this injury like the Leafs have with Matthews' injury. There's no Kadri or Tavres to fill the role. |

Yeah, you can bicker about any of Sweeney’s decisions, I personally think he’s been great, but passing on Barzal is his one indisputable (frank) up - Shaundre93
Barzal, Connor, Boeser.
DeBrusk is a solid NHLer. Probably could've got him in the 2nd round. Senyshyn was total reach and can't make the team neither can Zboril. He has been passed by Lauzon who was a 2nd rounder.
I get the plan was to trade up and draft Hanfin. But you do no research, no (frank)ing plan B?
EDIT: For (frank) sakes Don. You could've traded Connor for Hanafin. |

^De Brusk would not have been available in round 2. Zboril was a logical pick. But yeah Senyshyn instead of Barzal, Connor or Boeser is unforgivable. |

Should have been Barzal, Chabot, DeBrusk.

I don't disagree.
I like Krech, but I'm not fond of his price tag or his wonky hips.
The guy does produce though.
I'm all for getting even younger but Don has to find a partner to trade with.
I'd target Dush in Ottawa myself. |

I mean I think Krejci will stay at that price tag, but one the other kids/prospects could be shipped for some help. The Bruins seem to think they have a potential top 6 in Studnicka when he's developed. I hope so. |

A simple look to the recent and past and the somewhat distant future was all that was needed to make the right call. Your predecessor (frank)ed up Seguin. Bergeron and Krejci are on the wrong side of 30. You take Barzal. You take Barzal. Every.Single.Time. |

Is anyone forgetting the lack of production from Backes? The guy makes Krecji look like a super star.
Kreji needs a power forward on his line. He's always been able to do more damage when someone else is banging in the corners. It's no a knock, it's a fact. Bruins need to make a move on either Backes, Rask or Krejci. These contracts will hamper this team as long as the B's are carrying all 3.
Like Backes, but not his game, man HE SUCKS NOW. |

No one would take him.
Maybe Minnesota?
We'd have to take garbage back, or he'd have to be part of a bigger deal.
Zucker is probably out of reach. |

I don’t disagree with anything you said I just don’t remember anyone talking franchise potential with Connor or especially Boeser like they did with Barzal. I’d be a lot harder on him if he hadn’t nailed almost every pick since, ya know? Erase the 2015 first round and Sweeney probably has the best drafting since he took over |

Just to clarify on Krejci, I’m not trying to talk him up sooo much, he’s not untouchable and there are definitely better guys you could go after. I’m just sick of the narrative that tossing Krejci in the trash would be addition by subtraction for the team. That’s insane |

Let's not forget about Jakub Lauko. The kid almost made the team ala Pasta as an 18 year old. I would love to see him get a shot after juniors finish up.
